Cabins
Pioneer Guest Cabins provides eight cabins on 10 acres near Crested Butte. Each cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a shower, multiple beds, a fireplace, and Wi-Fi. Borrow a Smart TV with Netflix for free. Cabins are spaced 150-250 feet apart.
Activities
Guests can hike, bike, fish, and snowshoe. The Pioneer is near trails for hiking, snowshoeing, and mountain biking. Guests can explore the wildflower meadows or relax by the creek. A map is available. Follow all local National Forest Service guidelines.
Creekside Hot Tub
A creekside hot tub is available from 10 AM to 9 PM, with one-hour reserved time slots. A heated changing room with towels is provided. The hot tub has a five-person maximum. Children ages 5 and older are welcome. Guests must walk to the hot tub from their cabins.
Pet-Friendly
Pioneer Guest Cabins welcomes dogs, offering free dog beds. There is a $20 per night fee, with a maximum of two dogs. Dogs must stay off all furniture and beds. Trails and a creek are available for dogs. Dog owners must follow basic etiquette rules.
Location & Practicalities
Pioneer Guest Cabins is 45 km from Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport. The resort is a 12-minute drive from Crested Butte and a 15-minute drive to Mount Crested Butte. The cabins are two miles off Highway 135 on a dirt road. The resort is snow-plowed, allowing parking in front of cabins during winter and summer. Cell service is available a half mile from the resort. The Pioneer provides water from the tap.
